Hailing from Madrid, Spain, Nuria Alsina brings a bit of that city’s notorious nightlife to Tiki Oasis! With more than two decades DJ’ing at countless rock joints and festivals, her experience encompasses the most diverse areas of the music world. In the 90’s, when the rock scene in Madrid became legendary, many dabblers tried to get on the DJ bandwagon, but Nuria made a name for herself with her varied and often eclectic style. The Louie Louie, Freaks, No Fun and Flamingo Swing are just a few of the clubs where Nuria did her magic. Always restless, she worked for independent record labels such as Munster Records, Record Runner and Animal Records as well as promoting numerous shows and managing clubs like the celebrated Louie Louie where of course she also spun records like a she-devil! Her passionate work was soon well known far beyond the capital of Spain.
A compulsive shopper of rare vinyl, especially 45’s, Nuria is a master of getting even the most jaded crowd onto their feet and dancing, with a wild and primitive toxic mix of Rock n Roll, Jump Blues, Teen Beat, Instrumentals, Hillbilly Trash, Exotica, Latin Grooves, Soul, Psycho Garage, Surf, Swing, R n’ B, Mambo Bop, Rockabilly, Popcorn... and anything in between that catches her fancy!
Nuria is also a graphic designer who creates posters, album artwork and flyers for bands, labels and clubs. Now living in Los Angeles, she is a house DJ at The Hollywood Fish Fry and El Paradiso.
