The Kitsch Niche

Strike is the host of the hilarious and unpredictable weekly internet radio program "Strike's Kitsch Niche", which can be heard live or via podcast at HYPERLINK "" On the air for over 11 years, Strike has entertained the masses with a mixture of amazingly rare cool, oddball, and funky music and slapstick comedy.

In 1994, Strike paired up with Otto Von Stroheim and Steve Alper, owner of Atomic Records in Burbank, CA, to create Exoticon, which is widely acknowledged as the first "Tiki/Lounge/Hipster" convention/concert event of its kind. Appearing at Exoticon were a host of now legendary acts, including Combustible Edison, Davie Allen & the Arrows, Korla Pandit, Joey Altruda & Plas Johnson, the Phantom Surfers, Brother Cleve, and many more.

Strike is also a club DJ, favored for his equally amazing collection of rare funk, latin, and acid jazz records.

Strike hopes to one day to become an obscure reference discovered and lauded by the hipsters of the future, just like the people on his records.
