Darren Bradley was born in Honolulu in the early 70s and spent his childhood playing with the monkeys at the Pearl City Tavern and other classic Hawaii tiki haunts. His earliest memories are the scents of plumerias, roasting pigs in backyard luaus, and of falling into the elephant enclosure at the Honolulu Zoo. He didn't own a pair of shoes until he moved to the mainland at age 9. Today, Darren is still obsessed with Tiki architecture. He is an award-winning architectural photographer, based in San Diego, California. His work has appeared in large-format books, academic and professional architecture journals, and lifestyle magazines around the world.
