Get ready to tap your toes with Steve Conrad and pals! In this movement-based seminar, you will learn dances from the 1940s-50s when swing music was pop music. These partner dances include East Coast swing, also known as 6-count lindy hop, and collegiate. Traditionally, swing dance is paired with swing music but these same dance steps can be translated to the surf rock dance floor! No experience necessary, no partner needed, but please wear comfortable shoes!

Steve Conrad has taught dance for 29+ years and is founder-director of the Arizona Lindy Hop Society. He was featured on The Bachelorette, House Hunters, Arizona Highways TV, and Little Big Shots: Forever Young. Conrad helped lead a program for teaching ballroom dance to people experiencing homelessness in Phoenix and has used dance as a healing modality for children in the foster care system. In 2021, Phoenix’s Mayor declared April 29th "Steve Conrad Day" for his contribution to dance in Phoenix.
