Was there ever a time before Otto and Baby Doe?! In the mid-1980s, Otto hosted exotica-themed parties and in 1995 launched “Tiki News”, followed by Exoticon ’95, the first major Tiki event. Meanwhile, Baby Doe shared her Tiki obsessions on her pioneering 1994 website, “Baby Doe’s Obsessed”. After meeting at a Korla Pandit gig in 1996, they merged lives and creativity! Together they have produced hundreds of events—from pop-up events to music showcases to a world class exhibition "Tiki Dreams". In 2001, they helped launch Tiki Oasis, now the world’s largest Tiki convention, held annually in California and Arizona.
