Documentary Film Release! Made in Surf City with Director Chris Ashford

Join us for a special screening of Made in Surf City, a documentary on Dean Torrance of Jan & Dean and his second act as a successful album cover designer. After Jan’s tragic 1966 accident, Dean founded KittyHawk Graphics, creating iconic covers for The Turtles, Michael Nesmith, Nilsson, Steve Martin, Walter Egan, and The Beach Boys. The film explores his artistic journey during a transformative era in music. A Q&A with Mike Stax and director Chris Ashford will follow the screening.
