In this hands on class you will have fun learning the tricks of how paint and velvet get along with each other. Learn a li'l bit of the history while you discover the mystery. Learn the technique of using black velvet as dark shadows. You will walk away with your own velvet masterpiece.

Woody Miller has created art and has produced Tiki Mugs for Zombie Village in SF, Forbidden Island Alameda, and The Kon Tiki in Oakland. In 2023, Woody created the signature mug for the Napa Valley Museum ‘Tiki Dreams’ exhibition and is currently working on mugs for Wilfred’s Napa, Pagan Idol SF, as well as his own personal mugs. Inspired by the carvings, patterns, and aesthetics of the Pacific, Woody creates ceramic vessels, carvings, and paintings honoring tradition with a modern, West Coast California infusion.
